Eurofins Microbiology Laboratories in Battle Creek, MI Announces New Accreditation for Determination of Hepatitis A Virus (HAV) and Norovirus Groups 1 and 2

Eurofins Microbiology Laboratories in Battle Creek, MI is accredited via ISO 15216:2019 for determination of Hepatitis A virus (HAV) and Norovirus Groups 1 and 2. As of March 2023, the VIRSeek Hepatitis A, Norovirus G1 and G2 assays have been validated by ISO for detecting HAV and NoVG1 and NoVG2 in soft fruits, leaf, stem, and bulb vegetables, bottled water, bivalve molluscan shellfish, as well as on food surfaces.
Food-borne viruses are a major contributor to food-borne illness in the United States, and the food and testing industries have historically had few tools to help detect and address these pathogens.
