Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing Announces Colorado Department of Public Health Hemp Testing Laboratory Certification
Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing (Madison, WI) is excited to announce it is certified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to conduct hemp compliance testing for industrial hemp and hemp derived products.
Eurofins is the first and only laboratory (at the time of this publication) to be certified for pesticide analysis within the strict limits set by the CDPHE. Eurofins is also the first laboratory certified to offer compressive chemistry testing across potency, moisture and contaminants including pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, and residual solvents. The majority of the CDPHE hemp testing requirements went into effect on July 1, 2021. There was an additional phase implemented in August of 2021 that included a list of pesticides that is much larger than the 13 pesticide tests now required for marijuana products. In a final phase, testing for the full list of 106 pesticides will begin in October 2021.
In addition to its full CDPHE certification, the Eurofins Madison laboratory has a DEA license, is ISO 17025 certified and authored the AOAC Method of the Year 2021, the only AOAC approved method for potency testing in hemp (AOAC Official Method 2018.11).
