As the Vice President of Operations at Eurofins Microbiology Laboratories US Food Division, Andy oversees all aspects of laboratory operations and management, the development and implementation of advanced testing methodologies, as well as critical client support. His leadership ensures compliance with stringent regulatory standards and optimizes processes to maintain the highest levels of product quality and safety. Throughout his career, Andy has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and service quality, significantly impacting the meat industry.
Andy’s extensive background includes a variety of roles such as Senior Director at Eurofins and Director of Operations at IEH Laboratories and Consulting Group. His extensive background and experience in meat production facility processes, combined with his proficiency in microbiological analysis, sensory evaluation, and regulatory compliance has earned him a reputation as a trusted authority in meat testing. With a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from Hastings College, along with certifications in Lean Project Management and HACCP, Andy’s commitment to excellence and innovation drives his continuous efforts to improve meat testing practices and ensure food safety.
In addition to his professional experience, Andy holds several key certifications that highlight his expertise and dedication to quality. He earned his Lean Project Management certification from Eurofins in May 2016, demonstrating his ability to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. His HACCP certification, obtained from Food Protech in January 2011, provides a great understanding of hazard analysis and critical control points in food safety.
