Investigation

Soil investigations are commonly conducted when contamination is suspected at a site, often following a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment.  Site investigations, or Phase II investigations, include the collection of soil samples throughout a site to determine whether, and at what level, contamination is present.  Samples representative of conditions present at the site should be collected.

The choice of analyses for samples taken in support of a site investigation will vary based on the site location and contamination situation.  Many states provide guidance concerning the analyses required for soil investigations.  When guidance is not available, it is advisable that customers analyze samples for suspected constituents of concern identified in the Phase I investigation.  Eurofins' industry leading portfolio of analyses ensures that we are able to provide customers a single source solution for their site investigation needs, reducing complexity and cost associated with utilizing multiple labs.
