Decoding the Environment: The Relationship of the Field Sampler & the Lab, Part 2

The quality of data generated by the laboratory is only as good as the quality of the sample collected in the field.

The objective of all environmental projects is to collect relevant and valid data. The environmental testing laboratory needs to work closely with the field sampler(s) to successfully execute any sampling program and to collect a quality sample.

This presentation provides an overview of the information which needs to be coordinated between the field sampler(s) and an environmental testing laboratory to successfully execute a project. it provides information on type of field quality control samples which can be collected, process for Chain of Custody/Electronic Chain of Custody (eCOC) completion, review of bottle types, preservations and holding times as well as packing instructions for coolers and shipping.
