The goal of all environmental projects is to collect relevant and valid data to support sound environmental decisions. To accomplish this goal, environmental professionals need a basic knowledge of the inner workings of the “Black Box.”
This presentation will provide an overview of the information which needs to be coordinated between the regulated project team and an environmental testing laboratory to successfully execute a project. It provides background information regarding the sources and uses of existing published methods. It provides an overview of organic and inorganic analytical methods and when to use each. Most importantly, it provides details regarding how, what and when to communicate with the laboratory representatives to ensure project completion and success. Lastly, it will provide insights into the final deliverables and documentation regarding anomalous results.
