Microbial Limits
This test consists of a quantitative microbial assessment for bacterial, yeast, mold and a screening for the presence of Staphyloccus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Gram-negative bacteria, Enteroccocus species, Enterobacteriaceae, Clostridium species, yeast and fungus or other specific organisms of interest. Enumeration methods can use membrane filtration with plate counts or if the product naturally has a low bioburden, the Most Probable Number Method may be used.
