Lancaster Labs’ building expansion has progressed on schedule since its groundbreaking in September 2007. The first phase of construction for third-floor laboratories and a first-floor reception area is scheduled to be completed this fall. The second-floor lab modules will be outfitted as growth continues. “The additional space will allow us to expand our existing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical testing operations in the new building,” says President Dr. Wilson Hershey.

Lancaster Laboratories current building expansion connects with the company’s south building. Far right is Lancaster Labs’ bridge, spanning Route 23 to unite with the north section of the campus. The new building will add 50,000 square feet to the current 175,000 square feet of space, bringing the total footage to 225,000. When fully occupied, it will house 150 additional employees.
