Method Development Team adds new Corona Detectors

Sidebar Image

Lancaster Laboratories has acquired several Corona CAD (charged aerosol detectors) to add to our method development capabilities. This technology has been quickly and widely adopted by the pharmaceutical industry because it solves analytical challenges where other common high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) detectors fail.

The Corona CAD is an entirely new class of detector based on hybrid evaporative and novel aerosol techniques. This universal HPLC detector offers advantages in sensitivity, dynamic range and reproducibility over other detectors. The Corona CAD is capable of detecting essentially any nonvolatile or semivolatile compound. Therefore, it is ideal for a wide range of applications. Lancaster Labs plans to utilize this instrument in support of:

Small Molecule Applications

  • Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
  • Raw Materials
  • Residual Impurities
  • Lipids
  • Carbohydrates

Large Molecule Applications

  • Proteins
  • Peptides
  • Polymers
