GRMA Certification for Health and Wellness Products

As a member-driven industry association, the Global Retailer and Manufacturing Alliance (GRMA) focuses on the harmonization of GMP compliance for health and wellness products with its own certification program. Eurofins Assurance is a fully approved and accredited GRMA Certification Body to deliver these audits.

Scope of GRMA Certification

GRMA has developed its own certification program by harmonizing existing criteria of top retailers and regulatory bodies with the aim to simplify audit processes for retailers, manufacturers, and their suppliers.

GRMA program covers three product categories:

• Dietary supplements
• Over-the-counter drugs
• Cosmetics, personal care, health & beauty aids

Each of the category carries its own unique standard and requirements, with reference to relevant regulatory requirements, international standards, and industry standards.

GRMA certificates are accepted by GRMA members. Starting from May 6, 2024, GRMA is now a GFSI recognized standard.

Process of GRMA Certification

Similar to other audit programs, GRMA certification starts by companies raising their audit application to us for scheduling. The on-site audit will take minimum two working days. When audit reports pass through technical review, customers will receive GRMA certificate in 40 working days.

The certificate is valid for three years, but annual re-audit is required for year 2 and year 3, in order for the certificate to remain valid.
